EcoCAR: The NeXt Challenge is not just about building a hybrid. It is also about rasing awarness of the world around us and the steps we can take to make it better. The Outreach Program of RHIT EcoCAR is designed to do that and more. As part of the three year competition, RHIT EcoCAR Outreach will be raising awarness with media, outreach events, an education program, and this website. Grade School students in Illinois and Indiana, the City of Terre Haute, the Rose-Hulman campus and countless other groups are exposed to the RHIT EcoCAR team through a variety of ways. To reach such a variety of people with the information we have to share, there are several activities planned. For example, an outreach might be an information booth set up in the mall to edcuate shoppers and the education proram can include an interactive talk planned for grade schoolers. For us, tailoring an Outreach Event for our audience is key to getting our message across. Any group can learn about EcoCAR and hopefully, you will get to see us in action soon.
