3/25/09 Wednesday Class Update: Moving heavy objects + educating kiddies = EcoCAR fun!
During class time, Chambers updated the team about various tasks that need to get finished by the end of the year. It's going to be Epic! Cameron updated the team about the battery. Finally, Andy and Stokes gave a HIL Demo. It was pretty exicting for the team to watch! Afterwards, team members help Chambers transport a vintage turbocharged corvair engine. That was pretty epic too!
Team members Becca, Bob, Brett, Zach, and Erff ventured to the Southern end of the Haute to visit the Dixie Bee Elementary School and give an informative, little kid sized version of our EcoCAR presentation. After getting those kids excited about science and engineering and hybrids, we got to use the right sides of our brains and colored with the students. Not only did we wow them with our car knowledge, we got to wow them with our artistic skills. Kids got to color 2 different sheets, a color by numbers EcoCAR sheet and a nice Saturn VUE on a landscape. They even got pens and were told to look at our nifty website with their parents to learn more about EcoCAR and hybrids. We were stoked that we were able to come home with art for our refridgerators. Overall, it was a super productive day!

The Rose-Hulman EcoCAR website named #1 in the competition!
Congratulations go out to the Rose-Hulman EcoCAR team, and the two web developers, Eric Stokes and Andrew Corsten. In addition to their development and maintaining the website, this award would have not been possible if we had no content to publish!
